DESCRIPTION:POSTPONED: March Monthly Dinner Meeting \n\nDue to a scheduled Nor'Easter coming in and with questionable travel conditions\, the March meeting has been rescheduled to March 21\, 2023.\n\nThe location and time remains the same. If you have paid for the meeting and unable to attend on March 21\, 2023 we are happy to refund your registration fee or apply a credit to an upcoming event. We apologize for any inconvenience\, but keeping the safety of our members and guests a priority. \n\n\n\nDavid F.Young\, P.E.\n\nCDM Smith\n\nOverview on Wastewater Planning\n\n\n\nCourse: "An Overview of Wastewater Planning on Cape Cod" will review what the issue is that is driving wastewater planning here on the Cape\; discuss what some of the solutions to the issue can be and then review what some of the communities are doing. Bottomline is that significant residential growth on the Cape over the past 50 years has resulted in nitrogen from on-site septic systems entering our saltwater bodies and degrading their water quality and that nitrogen needs to be removed to restore the water quality for our tourist driven economy and quality of life for residents. David F. Young\, P.E. is a professional engineer with the firm of CDM Smith Inc. and has more than 40 years of wastewater planning experience. Much of his experience has involved working with several Cape Cod communities from Falmouth to Truro. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and a MBA from Babson College and is a former President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts.
