Sept Mthly Dinner Meeting - Basement Flooding Causes & Solutions (2 CEUs: Code Review)

We are excited to offer CE credits for this meeting!  This meeting will qualify for 2 hours in Code Review.
There are significant changes in the Ninth Edition of the MA State Building Code eff Jan 1, 2018.  Its adoption of IBC 2015 means concurrent adoption of updated wind and flood design provisions of ASCE-7-10 (Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures) and ASCE 24-14 (Flood Resistant Design and Construction), respectively.  This seminar is designed to give a cursory overview of th revised guidelines in each of those national publicatons and how they apply to engineering design and construction under the Ninth Edition. 
John A. Bologna, PE and Sean M. Riley, PE of Coastal Engineering will cover the guidelines governing the design of structures located in flood-prone areas that were adopted with the new Code.
