2026 Residential Construction Career (RCC) Day

Residential Construction Career (RCC) Day is a high-impact, half-day workforce development event connecting Cape Cod employers with the next generation of talent.

Unlike a traditional job fair, RCC Day introduces high school students to the trades through hands-on experiences and meaningful conversations with industry professionals. Approximately 40 HBRACC members participate each year, organized by trade pathway, and are encouraged to go beyond a standard table setup by offering interactive demonstrations that give students a real feel for the work.

Employers play a key role in shaping the experience. Students are guided to engage by asking questions, learning how you got started, and exploring career pathways in your trade. Through structured activities like our “bingo card” engagement tool, every student connects with multiple trades and professionals.

While RCC Day is not a job fair, it creates valuable early connections. Students who show interest can opt in to stay in touch regarding internships or summer employment, and we provide guidance to help employers make the most of those connections.

On Cape Cod, where housing availability impacts workforce retention, building relationships with local students early is more important than ever. RCC Day offers a unique opportunity to connect with students while they are still living at home and exploring their future.
