Special Guest: Dave Ashely from National Association of Home Builders will kick off the meeting highlighting the work NAHB is doing on behalf of the industry.
Main Speaker Topic: OSHA Safety and Compliance with Peter Barletta, Compliance Assistance Specialist from OSHA
Learn the four top safety hazards in residential construction called the Focus-Four, which includes falls from elevations i.e. scaffolds, roofs, floor openings, and ladders), electrical hazards, stuck-by moving equipment and object hazards, and caught in between hazards like trenches, machinery, truss work, and scaffold erection.

Speaker Bio:
Peter Barletta is the “Compliance Assistance Specialist” for the Boston- South OSHA Area Office in Braintree MA. He is responsible for providing technical assistance, outreach, and training to OSHA stakeholders and the public through alliances, partnerships, and other OSHA Cooperative programs. Prior to his current position, he was the Assistant Area Director for the OSHA Boston- South Office and worked 14 years in the field as an OSHA Compliance Officer conducting construction and general industry inspections including accident and fatality investigations. Along with holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, he is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals ASSP Boston Chapter, is a Certified Safety Specialist CSP, and an Authorized OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Trainer.
