Join us for our April Monthly Dinner Meeting, featuring a special Taco Tuesday dinner and a continuing education presentation.
This month’s meeting will take place at Pelham House in Dennis and will include a CEU-eligible (approval anticipated) presentation from Kristy Senatori of the Cape Cod Commission.
Regional Planning and Development Considerations on Cape Cod
This course provides an overview of the regional planning framework and regulatory considerations that influence residential construction and development on Cape Cod. Designed for builders, remodelers, and construction professionals working within the region’s unique regulatory environment, the course explores how regional planning policies, infrastructure planning, and land use initiatives intersect with local permitting and development processes.
Participants will gain insight into current regional planning efforts and initiatives affecting housing, land use, and infrastructure. The course will also provide an overview of regional review processes and planning tools that may affect project planning and development across Cape Cod communities.
Attendees will learn:
○ The role of regional planning in shaping land use and development on Cape Cod
○ How regional policies and planning initiatives intersect with local permitting and regulatory processes
○ Key considerations related to housing, land use, and infrastructure planning in the region
○ How regional planning initiatives and review processes may influence residential development projects
Speaker Biography
Kristy Senatori is the Executive Director of the Cape Cod Commission. She leads the Commission’s work in developing regional land use policies, environmental and community resilience strategies, and economic development initiatives through a multidisciplinary approach. She works to promote collaboration among Cape Cod communities through regional planning initiatives, information sharing, and decision-support tools designed to improve planning efficiency.
Senatori joined the Cape Cod Commission in 2008 after working in the private sector. During her tenure she has served as the Commission’s Chief Regulatory Officer and Deputy Director before becoming Executive Director. She is a graduate of Hamilton College and Vermont Law School and is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
